The Cynefin Project

Welcome, All!

Swiss mountains, and our logo

'Cynefin' (pronounced kin-EV-in) is a Welsh word roughly translating to ‘a place to stand’.

It is the feeling of knowing that you ought to live and belong someplace.

Every origin story begins with the land. Every person harbors the overwhelming desire to find a home, a home that begins with the ground beneath our feet.

We all have a place to stand here, on this Earth, with other lives unlike our own streaming around us, with the whispering ground under us in every breath, every footfall. This is the last chance we have to take responsibility for the home in which we arose,  grew up, and abandoned.

The Cynefin Project is an initiative dedicated to sharing insights on and creating open discussions around climate change, environmental issues, sustainability, and nature. We're building a community of young activists, researchers, writers, artists, problem-solvers, and truth seekers with a deep appreciation and passion for preserving our natural world, mitigating climate change, bettering society, and advocating for human rights and social justice reform.

Where, OH Where Should I Go first?

The Cynefin Project consists of three different branches, each with its own unique characteristics and role to play in creating open discussions around climate change, environmental destruction, activism, environmentalism, nature, and the like. We hope to inspire you to explore what the environment means to you, the threats facing it, and how you can take strategic action. We also hope to hear your voice in the free flow of ideas and perspectives we're building.
